Journey Into Mystery #94 (07/10/1963)

detailnn.jpgJourney Into Mystery #94 sees Loki up to his usual tricks, this time getting Thor to team up with him to destroy a number of world landmarks until Odin decides to yield control of Asgard to them or see the Earth perish. Once again, another Thor story hinges on a bit of flimsy ideas to move the plot along. One such idea is the chromosmatic gland, which just makes me chuckle. Another is the idea that Loki and Thor would basically be able to blackmail and push around Odin, which is just crazy considering Odin’s power. At least Sinnott’s art work is awesome.

In the end, Journey Into Mystery #94 is an okay issue with an okay story, but it also contains Lee’s bad habit of basically wrapping up a story by having everything be like it was at the very beginning of  the issue and thus making the whole thing ultimately pointless.
